Ramaria versatilis a coral fungus. This species is characterised by lilac-coloured branches and which may be covered by ochre spores. Forms extensively branched clunmps lilac to violet-purple but brownsih as the spores mature. Ultimate tips usually ending in two short and blunt processes. Flesh white and very brittle, stem, when present, is short and white. There is no smell.
Ramaria versatilis Usually appears on soil amongst leaf litter in eucalypt forests. Can be confused with Clavaria zollingeri, but the branch ends of C. zollingeri are always very rounded, single and brownish.
